The Arcade Story.



Arcade Street was founded in 2017 by two Melbourne dads Daniel and Simon who just can’t seem to let go of the 80s!

The brand was born on the sidelines while watching their kids play weekend sport with what began as a random idea soon snowballed into an exciting commercial reality.

As a kid growing up in the 80s the world was like one giant fun park. BMX adventures to the milk bar would often involve a stopover at the arcade and backyard cricket would play out over the entire weekend. Movie nights would mean a trip to the local video store, while creating the best mix tapes made us all musical geniuses among our friends.

While today there is rarely an old school milk bar or arcade in sight and entertainment is streamed to us 24/7 (though there is still an adult size BMX sitting in the garage), conversations between the dads would often turn back to that childhood era.

Together with a mad passion for sport and street style, the idea to create a brand inspired by 80’s pop culture soon conceptualised and Arcade Street was born.

The ultimate concept for ‘Arcade Street’ is to capture what was great as a kid growing up in the 80s and bottling that up and delivering that nostalgia into the brand story.

You could say bringing the 80s back through modern children's streetwear and digital content is what the brand is all about.
